Jake Gregg

GreggFest is a two day music festival held at Northern Vermont University-Lyndon (formerly Lyndon State College) in Lyndonville, Vermont in honor of Jake Gregg, who was a fellow student and banjo player for the group Suncooked. The festival was started in 2014 in order to raise funds for Jake, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2013. During the planning phase of the festival’s second year, Jake lost his battle with cancer before he could attend the event in 2015. We proudly do all we can to keep this event running in his memory and out of love for all that he contributed to our community.

Suncooked

Suncooked was Jake's Americana Folk/Rock band  based out of Lyndonville, VT. Suncooked was formed in 2011 by Jake and his friends Ry McDonald,Colin Murphy, and Alex Heaton . Jake was the group's banjo/Guitar/Vox/Kick Drum player while Ry played Guitar/Vox/Hi-hat, Colin played Bass/Vox, and Alex played Drums.
"Since coming to fruition from within the walls of Lyndon State College's campus in 2011, the three members of Suncooked have demonstrated their passion for genuine songwriting and bringing you an authentic show. Through varying song writing styles, personalities and presence, Colin Murphy, Ry McDonald and Jake Gregg each bring forth unique talent that constantly propels the band in a skyward direction." - Suncooked Bio
